Consult your vet about vaccinations recommended in your area. Not all areas have the same diseases. You should protect your dog from the diseases and parasites that are likely in your location.

 Also consider how the weather affects your puppy. Chihuahuas are inside dogs. The hair is thin and the size is so small that your dog cannot deal with cold weather. Your pet must have protection from cold and especially wet weather.
